Carmelo De Maria is a Post – doc researcher at the Research Center “E. Piaggio”, University of Pisa, working in the field of additive manufacturing/rapid prototyping technologies, in a research project cofounded by European Union, Tuscany Region and a consortium of small and medium enterprises. He is also involved into an Italian Ministry of Economic Development Project titled “IoTPrise: Internet of Things: technology transfer and business creatio n” (Call RIDITT, DM 22/12/2009) . He is guest professor in bioengineering at Addis Ababa University, and member of the ABEC secretariat. De Maria is co – founder and president of the FabLab Pisa.
