Friedrich Kaasik was born in Tartu, Estonia, 1987. He received his master degree in materials science at the University of Tartu in 2011. Currently, he is a Ph.D. student in technology and also master level student of pedagogy. His main branch of research in materials science is synthesizing and analyzing carbon–polymer–ionic liquid composite materials.
